Lightweight Structural Vehicle Design (fulltime)
Are you interested in lightweight vehicle construction? In the Lightweight Structural Vehicle Design course at the HAN Institute of Automotive, you will obtain all the necessary competences to become a successful engineer in light construction.
This course focuses on lightweight construction. Because of the need to reduce energy consumption, construction is becoming lighter and the market has a steadily growing demand for weight reduction in automotive construction. Design requirements are continually growing: engineers have to make more and better calculations and run more simulations to produce reliable predictions of payload and durability.
- Finite element theory in combination with linear algebra
- Lightweight construction in combination with advanced materials mechanics including mechanics of composites
- Practical Abaqus – CAE intro and composite materials
- Design and production in composite materials and sandwiches
- Project : Design, production and testing (validation) composite beam construction
- Guided tours with lectures at 10 production companies that put lightweight vehicle construction into practice
- Practical Catia-CAD for composites
Block exchange course
This exchange course is offered once or twice a year in a block during a semester.
This also is a specialisation exchange course. This means it enables you to further deepen your skills and knowledge within your own profession (professional profile).
