HAN BioCentre is a contract research organisation of HAN University of Applied Sciences in Nijmegen. Research & Development at HAN BioCentre is focused on “Industrial Microbiology” including the following expertises and technologies:Molecular Biology, (bio-)Chemistry, Fermentation technology, Down Stream Processing.
Molecular Biology technologies
- Expression vector construction
- Gene expression studies
- Development of (Multiplex) RT-PCR diagnostic assays (in close cooperation with NYtor)
Production of proteins
- Fermentation up to 20 l.
Down Stream Processing
- MF and UF
- GPC
- IEX
- AF
Experience with different production organisms: E.coli, lactic acid bacteria, yeast, filamentous fungi
Approach
Research questions will be handled in HAN BioCentre as a project with all aspects of confidentiality, timelines and deliverables. Depending on the urgency of the project the research can be performed by students during their study programme. Alternatively, staff of HAN BioCentre will carry out the research.
