Programma Batch Control + Lab
In deze training kunt u theorie in practicumlessen direct toepassen.
Course Content
- This course focuses on implementing S88.01 in practice in a structural way. The eventual users of the system are the ones who determine which flexibility is required for their processes, not the standard, not the batch control package, and not the control engineer alone.
- During the cases emphasis is given on the multi- disciplinary aspect of making the difficult choices, such as the determination of unit boundaries, to select a phase or operation approach, to create a recipe and to specify the requirements for the control system and the ergonomic aspects for the design of the control screens.
Objectives
- To familiarize with the models (the S88.01 international standard on batch process control) and terminology on batch control.
- Methodology and tools are presented in order to analyse batch processes, to define the required functions and to design the control system.
- Practical examples are shown and the attendees are trained with practical cases.
- It has become more and more economically viable to automate the smaller but more complex plants. These manual operated plants are focussed on a high level of flexibility in order to be able to produce a lot of different products without changing the automation program.
- The Batch Control engineer is facing the difficult task to design the optimal control concept for a batch plant in order to fulfil the wide range of requirements for a wide number of products.
Goals
- Distinguishing between continuous, discrete and batch operated plants
- Knowledge of the international normalization S88.01 on batch process control
- Training in a 10 steps methodology on defining the control requirements
- Defining unit and common resource boundaries in a multi disciplinary way
- Determining the operations and phases in relation the required flexibility
- Training in the structured design of sequential control routines
- Integration of safety precautions in the design
- Setting up the requirement documents including reporting requirements
- Training in recipe creation
- Classification of complexity
- Integration aspects with other systems (such as Manufacturing Executions Systems)
