Course overview
During this summer course at Arnhem Business School you will work on a business case study that focuses on one of the largest flower auctions in the world: Flora Holland in Aalsmeer. Together with your fellow students, you will also apply your knowledge and skills in the Business Management Game.
1st week
Your 1st week of classes begins with introductions to Dutch and European Culture and Economy, and is followed by the business case study.
At the request of Flora Holland, you will work in groups on a particular business assignment and present your findings to representatives of the company during an oral presentation. A company visit to Flora Holland in Aalsmeer is included in the course programme.
2nd week
The 2nd week consists of various seminars covering topics in, for example, European Logistics, Consumer Behaviour and Business Law.
3rd week
The 3rd and final week is reserved for the Business Management Game. You will work together in a ‘management team’ making executive decisions in multicultural groups. During the Business Management Game you will apply your business knowledge, intercultural skills and professional aptitude.
Contact hours
The course consists of a total of 75 contact hours (including classes, exam, excursions and company visits). You will also need to spend an additional 25 hours on homework, preparation and self study.

Course credits are set and awarded by your home institution in consultation with Arnhem Business School. Please contact the International Office of your home institution for more information on credit transfers.
