Occupational therapy

If you are a student at a university that has a bilateral agreement with the HAN University of Applied Sciences, you are eligible to study as an exchange student at HAN.

Some exchange students prefer to stay at HAN for a work placement or research assignment. Below you will find the options organised by the Institute of Health Studies in the field of occupational therapy.

Clinical placement

You can do a clinical placement in occupational therapy in the Netherlands. This option is open to German-speaking and English-speaking students. The clinical placement, which will take place in your final year, must account for 10-15 ECTS credits.

In addition, you must have studied occupational therapy for at least two years to be eligible.

Applied Research

If you are competent enough as a student to conduct literature research on your own, you can do applied research in occupational therapy at the Institute of Health Studies. The research must account for 15-30 ECTS credits, but this depends on your research question.
