Dental Hygiene
If you are a student at an institution that has a bilateral agreement with HAN University of Applied Sciences you are eligible to study as an exchange student at HAN.
Some exchange students prefer to stay at our university for a placement or research. Below you will find all work placement options organised by the Department of Dental Care at the Institute of Health Studies.
Work placement options
As a student you have the following work placement options:
- General dentistry in a private practice
- Orthodontic practice
- Paediatric dentistry practice
- Hospital
- Organised youth dentistry
- Periodontology practice
The placement can last from 3 to 6 months.
Additional option
During the exchange, you may also take a block in restorative dentistry. For a period of 10 weeks, you will practice 2 days a week in a pre-clinical setting doing class I preparations and restorations. Lectures in dental caries diagnostics and work meetings will be scheduled in support of this option.
