Course Digital Control
Would you like to learn more about digital controllers, processes and systems? Apply for the course Digital Control.
Objectives of the course Digital Control
- Design of stable digital controllers for analogue processes to meet steady-state error and transient response specifications
- Modeling digital systems including the zero-order hold using z-transforms
- Modeling digital controllers by digitizing analogue controllers using various digitizing techniques. Integration methods: Euler forward and backward, trapezium rule, Tustin approximation. Taylor and Maclaurin polynomials and series
- Design of digital controllers using Root Locus in the z-plane and by digitizing an analogue prototype controller
- Design of general digital cascade compensators and special digital controllers: Kalman and Dahlin controllers
- Usage of the computer tools MATLAB/Simulink and Maple for the design and test of digital controlled analogue processes
