Career prospects

The Finance and Control course prepares you for middle and higher management positions in the private and public sectors. There are many opportunities for Finance and Control graduates in both the profit and the non-profit sector.

Tasks

Finance and control specialists have two main tasks: a managerial task and a financial and economic task. Depending on the type of organisation and the nature of its activities, you may be involved in executive duties, advisory duties and/or managerial tasks.

Advisory role

A Finance and Control graduate can work as an internal or external advisor for financial service providers, such as banks, insurance companies, accountancy or consultancy firms. They can also work at other kinds of service providers, such as government agencies.

You may find yourself in the financial department, the accounts department or the planning and control department. In such roles, you usually have contact with a number of external financial parties and advisors. 

Positions

As a Finance and Control expert, you have job opportunities in a wide range of positions and working environments. You can, for example, become a controller or account manager at a financial institution.
