Vehicle Mechatronics

The Vehicle Mechatronics research group carries out R&D projects on the application of alternative fuels and on electric, hybrid and fuel cell drive trains. 

HAN Automotive Institute collaborates with various companies on projects in which it is   responsible for design, realisation and testing of complete vehicles and drive trains. In addition, the institute carries out short research projects. HAN Automotive Institute has specialists in the field of:

  • Engine control
  • Combustion
  • Control systems
  • Drive train modelling and simulation
  • CAD
  • Hydrogen technology
  • Emission measurements
  • Vehicle testing

In most cases, projects are carried out by Bachelor and Master level students. If needed, projects can also be carried out exclusively by our staff.
