Research Groups

Our Architecture in Health Research Group includes 2 professors, Mr. Tom Vroon and Jarno Nillesen, MSc., and the team of senior researchers.

Professors

  • Professor Tom Vroon (1950) is also the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Management at the College Bouw Zorginstellingen
  • Professor Jarno (J.A.) Nillesen, MSc is an architect and partner at Wiegerinck Architecten in Arnhem

Research Group

Dort Spierings is the parttime coordinator of the Research Group and a parttime PhD student. His research is entitled 'The Desirable Scale, the relations between scale and social housing quality in assisted living facilities'. Prof. Dr. Ir. George de Kam is Dort Spierings' supervisor and is a member of Radboud University Nijmegen's Institute of Management Research (IMR), where he focuses on Social Initiatives in the Property Market.

The team of senior researchers includes Gijs Pelgrom, Frits Schultheiss and Jaap Kerstma from the Institute of Built Environment, and Chris Meijs from the Information and Communication Academy.
