Do you want to find out more about trade fair management?

15 November 2011

It is now possible to follow an Intensive Course in Trade Fair Management in an International Perspective at HAN University of Applied Sciences. This intensive course is a joint project of HAN Arnhem Business School, Karel de Grote University of Applied Sciences and Hochschule München.

Learn all about trade fair management

In this intensive course, you will spend 2 weeks working with and increasing your knowledge of trade fair management and learning how companies can present themselves successfully at trade fairs. You will follow intensive modules given by the 3 partner institutions, but there is also a programme of self-study that includes working on an international trade fair plan for Europe, IT possibilities, networking sessions and visits to German and Belgian trade fairs. An additional aspect of this course is the experience you gain in an international environment, which is relevant for your CV.

This course starts in March 2012 with 60 Dutch, Belgian and German students together with their teaching staff in the brand-new building on Laan van Scheut in Nijmegen. According to René van Hoften of the project team, an intensive course is somewhat like a pressure cooker and helps students get into an 'internationalisation flow'.

International cooperation

The proposal for the intensive course has been approved by Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for international cooperation in higher education. This intensive course is a short programme of study subsidised by the EU, which offers students and staff of higher education institutions from at least three participating countries financial support, allowing them to do the course together. In this way, students and teaching staff are able to exchange knowledge, work on curriculum development and gain practical experience of working in international groups.
