30 January 2012

Update your knowledge and attend the Fighting Cancer Seminars from 26 – 30 March 2012 in Nijmegen. The seminars are organised by the HAN Masters course in Molecular Life Sciences.

Cancer stem cells, miRNA in cancer, gene therapy, personalised medicine …

  • Are you aware of the recent developments in these and other areas related to cancer research and cancer treatment?
  • Which therapeutic approaches are most promising?
  • What are the challenges of immunotherapy?
  • What are the benefits of new technologies such as proteomics and next-generation sequencing?
  • How much progress has been made in diagnosing cancer?
  • Are there methods to predict the disease outcome and the most beneficial treatment strategies?

Are you up-to-date?

During the Fighting Cancer Seminars, guest lecturers from leading research institutes and companies will present their current research and development projects in the field of fighting cancer. Organisations represented at the seminars include the Dutch Cancer Institute, the Hubrecht Institute, the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences, the RIVM and Synthon.

Focusing on the development of innovative therapeutic approaches as well as prognostic and diagnostic tests, the speakers will share their frontline knowledge and inspire with their innovative approaches. The interactive talks leave room for questions and discussion.

The seminars are part of the HAN Masters course in Molecular Life Sciences, in which they support students to design their own strategies for anti-cancer therapies.
